No saved household profiles in the application
The application does not run visitor analytics, build profiles, accept notification subscriptions or save plans, areas, priorities or preferences in browser storage. Planner and kit choices exist only in the currently open page and disappear on reload or navigation. Print a copy yourself if you want to keep it.
Weather tools accept a US ZIP code or a preset public place. Your ZIP code is sent directly from your browser to Zippopotam.us to find an approximate area. We do not send the ZIP code to our application server or save it in browser storage or a visitor database. The returned area is used only while this page is open to retrieve forecasts, maps and reports. GPS is not requested. The hosting service records traffic metrics and receives connection information such as IP addresses. External map/weather providers also receive connection information and may keep operational logs under their own policies. This is not a promise that no data is processed anywhere.
Previously stored application warning subscriptions and usage counts have been removed from the live application database. When this version loads, it attempts to clear this site's old ep: browser keys and retire the old push registration. We cannot remotely clear an offline browser or guarantee removal from hosting backups. If cleanup is blocked, use your browser's site-data and notification settings.
Temporary use of tools
Household counts, checklist marks, kit choices and priorities are calculated only in the open page. They are not sent to the application server, put in a visitor database, or saved through local storage, session storage, cookies or IndexedDB. Browser reloads and page changes reset these choices. The site does not collect emails, payment details, accounts, dates of birth or notification subscriptions.
A ZIP lookup sends the first five digits directly to Zippopotam.us / GeoNames; any ZIP+4 extension is discarded before the request. That provider receives the ZIP code and connection details under its own practices. Returned coordinates are rounded to two decimal places before use in forecasts and nearby reports. The raw ZIP input clears after a successful lookup and is not put in this site’s URL. The application does not request GPS or a street address. Map browsing can request public tiles for the viewed region. These requests are not used to build a visitor profile.
Hosting and external services
Pages are hosted through OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure. Private access can require hosting sign-in and hosting-managed security or authentication cookies. OpenAI documents automatic Sites traffic measurement, including page views and unique-visitor metrics, without an analytics SDK. Removing this application's counters does not turn off hosting measurement. Hosting retention, identification methods and opt-out availability have not been verified for this site. This page provides no control that disables hosting analytics. See OpenAI's Sites documentation. The application cannot control provider logs, retention or backups. For private access, Sites may pass a verified account ID and email to the server; protected research operations use that identity to authorize the owner without creating a visitor profile database.
ZIP lookup requests go directly to Zippopotam.us. Weather, map and event requests can go to NWS, MET Norway, USGS, OpenFreeMap, NOAA and NASA services. Air-quality requests send the rounded area coordinates directly to EPA AirNow layers hosted on Esri ArcGIS. Browser-direct requests disclose connection details, such as your IP address, to that service; the viewed public place or region may also be apparent. See sources and service details. Text fonts and editorial/product artwork are hosted with this site. No advertising or third-party analytics SDKs are installed. External retailer links open another service with its own privacy practices; loading a product card does not contact the retailer.
Privacy choices and policy changes
Optional analytics, advertising trackers, visitor profiling and the sale or sharing of visitor information for cross-context behavioral advertising are not part of this application. This remains true whether or not your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. These statements describe application features, not hosting traffic measurement. We have not verified how the hosting service handles those browser signals. We do not control how an external website responds after you follow a link.
We post material changes on this page with a new effective date before the changed practice starts. If a new feature needs consent, it will remain off until the required permission is given. See cookie and storage options.
Use the contact route to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have supplied directly. There is no saved household profile to retrieve or delete. Hosting records are controlled by the hosting service; we will explain the limits of requests rather than promise deletion we cannot perform.
Audience and correspondence
This is a general-audience preparedness resource for the United States, not a service directed at children under 13. Do not send children's personal information or sensitive household details. If you contact the publisher by email, the email provider and publisher receive your address and message to handle your request; those messages are separate from the website's no-profile tools. Email remains in the contact mailbox until it is deleted. We have not configured an automatic deletion schedule for correspondence. You may request deletion through the public contact address. Any limits, including records needed for legal or security matters and provider-controlled backups, will be explained when handling the request.
Legacy data cleanup
The live application tables for warning subscriptions, dispatch tracking and usage counts have been removed. Old browser data is cleared when a visitor next loads this version, if the browser permits access. Previously delivered notifications, browser permissions, offline browser copies and provider backups are outside that live-database deletion. The cleanup does not clear unrelated sites or delete your hosting account.
